French Accents in a Hamptons Home

Memorial Day marks the unofficial beginning of summer and we are already dreaming of a beach vacation complete with a stylish summer home. Our mind really began wondering we came across a beautiful home in the Hamptons full of French accents. The owners have literally tied their French antiques collection into nearly every room. There are Louis XVI music chairs in the playroom, Parisian daybeds and side tables, a 18th century dinner table that was also found in France, as well as an étagère displaying their china.

We were thrilled to learn that not only does the relaxed home feature a large array of French antiques, but that the architectural design of it takes cue from venerable country houses in France. The rooms are a reasonable size of either 18 feet in length or width, the canvas-shaded terrace resembles those at the Versailles getaway Villa Trianon, and the central section of the house features the mode of French manors known as lanternes.
